Regina und ich sind sehr betroffen .......
News that no one ever wants to hear, experiences no one ever wants to go through, things that no one will ever understand.
The guitar world is in shock and the more are we. Our dear Sabrina has passed away in a tragic accident on Thursday morning.
Sabrina was the heartbeat of the Dutch Guitar Foundation, the engine and driving force behind all the projects we realized and all the crazy plans we were about to realize. She had a mission. A mission in which she succeeded with the Dutch Guitar Foundation. Give classical guitar the place again it deserves in the Netherlands and far outside.
“Dream big!” Well, she did. May she dream on…
No one was as excited as Sabrina about the upcoming Guitar Festival in Groningen that was about to happen in just 10 days.
Contemplating about a big decision we had to make now, we were imagining what she would tell us. “The show must go on!”. No doubt about that.
Although, seen the short term in which all these events are happening now, we feel that the best decision we can make, is to postpone the festival for now.
The grief we share is too big to celebrate this week of guitar happiness. Instead we are organizing one concert during the festival week. More details and the exact date are soon te be confirmed. The concert will take place at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen.
We all invite you to share this moment together and pay tribute to the amazing person she was.
Until then there is the possibility to write in a book of condolence at the Prince Claus Conservatoire.
