Das Projekt entsteht aus der Erfahrung von zwei der größten italienischen Braumeister: Manuele Colonna, der zwei erfolgreiche Pubs in Rom besitzt, und Giampaolo Sangiorgi, einer der Gründer des Birrificios Lambrate aus Mailand, der gerade das 20. Birra hat das Ziel, die Kultur des italienischen Craft Biers in Berlin und Deutschland zu fördern, deswegen werden hier nur ausgewählte italienische Handwerk-Biere (vor allem die von Birrificio Lambrate) gezapft. Dazu werden italienische kalte Vorspeisen wie Aufschnitt- und Käseteller von höchster Qualität angeboten.

Birra è la prima birreria a Berlino che servirà esclusivamente birra artigianale italiana. Nata dall'unione dell'esperienza gestionale di Manuele Colonna, proprietario dei locali storici romani "Ma che siete venuti a fa'" e "Bir&Fud", con la sapienza birraria di Giampaolo Sangiorgi, fondatore del "Birrificio Lambrate". It's a blend of 3 different vintages of Lambic from Cantillon and grapes and pomaces of Cesanese from Damiano Ciolli's vineyards. See you there!
