Dear friends

Its with a heavy heart & tears in my eyes that i am writing this post. After a long meeting with my lawyer & my family i have come to the very hard conclusion of closing the doors to Mikes Bar. I just have not got the finical backing to fight in court. Its 1 of the hardest decision i have ever had to make & it has broken my heart.

I would like to thank you all for your support & i miss & love you all.

I would like to thank you all for signing the petition over the last 2 days. I will be getting the many pages stamped by the community council before handing it to the Paphos Mayor. This was something that Mikes Bar solicitor said may help.

I would also like to thank Steph from the Cork & Bottle for her support... We are both doing everything we can for both establishments to be open asap.

Dear friends

Even though the situation is complicated i will try & explain. Years ago in villages the law was much more relaxed, now it has changed, we was told about the changes & made the applications with the CTO & licensing department we was told it was ok to continue operating. After a police check it became apparent that we was misinformed!!. Mikes Bar & the other establishment effected by this nonsense are supporting each-other.

I am ready for another morning of causing hell at the doors of the authorities to make sure their admin dept are not just sipping coffee!!! I will be in touch later with another update.

I would also like to add that the community council & the 3rd establishment in Anarita are in full support of the re opening of the 2 currently closed establishments & they have no involvement in this situation. A noise complaint was reported to Kouklia police which prompted the check of licensees which in turn lead to this fiasco!..

Mikes Bar is all about the community, together we can do this, thanku for your continued support.

Dear friends

Today was a very productive day, i even managed to get a appointment with the Mayor of Pafos!...

The licensing dept & the CTO are also hurrying up the admin side as they see that the situation is out of hand.

After speaking with a solicitor he has confirmed that a petition from the residents of Anarita might help... So I will be outside Mikes Bar from 10am - 11am on Saturday for anyone who wishes to sign...

Dear friends

As you all know we have had trouble in our village with the authorities. We have been informed that we have to close. HOWEVER after many meetings the situation will be in court next week, this is a good thing as this has given the administration a push to act fast. I am confident that we will be re open by next week. I would like to personally thank the community council for their support in this matter & to all of you who i love dearly...
