ANNOUNCEMENT: FAT MAMAS RESTAURANT CLOSURE
After 35 unforgettable years, the time has come for us to retire and say goodbye.

For more than three decades, Fat Mamas Restaurant has been a lively, sparkly, loud, “make it up as you go along” - home away from home — a place where generations of families from all over the world gathered, celebrated, grew, and shared life’s biggest moments with us. We’ve joined you in celebrating births, weddings, anniversaries, and sadly during moments of loss. Being part of your stories has been our greatest honour.

When we first opened in the early ’90s, it was a different world — no such thing as the internet, no budget airlines, before the euro, mobile phones, emails, social media, the covid fiasco or Cyprus joining the EU. Together, we’ve lived through many changes on our little island of love, we’re proud to have adapted and grown through every era with you.

Our nights have been filled with sparkle thanks to the hundreds of talented dancers who lit up our stage over the years creating memories we’ll cherish forever. Behind the scenes, we’ve been lucky to have dedicated staff, many of whom stayed with us for decades. Whether someone was with us for just one summer or returned year after year, each person left their mark. Most brought great joy, some brought great lessons, all helping to shape Fat Mamas. It warms our hearts every time former staff members return to visit.

Although we share that we are closing our doors as we step into retirement, we are ready to embrace a new chapter and spend more time in our other businesses and supporting our boys behind the scenes in their ventures. This decision is something we have been looking forward to as we have all gotten older and the right one for us as a family.

To our loyal customers, performers, and team current and former — Thank you for the laughter, the celebrations, the loyalty, and for trusting us with your most precious memories. Fat Mamas has always been more than a restaurant; it has been a community, a family, and a lifetime of unforgettable moments.

Though our doors are closed and fat mamas is now part of history only …the memories will stay with us always. ❤️ so for one last time we shout our compliments to our brilliant chefs, ask you to put your hands together for our fabulous multitude of dancers, waiters, barmen, cashiers, super doormen and lovely washer uppers and to our beautiful and loyal face painter Mare, and lastly to the one & only Stavros Flatley
