It’s officially been 6 months of WKND Café🥹🤎
When I started WKND, I really didn’t know what I was doing😂 I had an idea, I loved coffee, I knew I wanted to create something that felt like me… and I just started.
What I didn’t expect was how much starting WKND would change me too.
Six months ago, I was still trying to figure out how to fit everything I wanted to do into the life I already had. Somewhere along the way, I realized I didn’t want to keep squeezing my dreams into whatever time was left.
So I quit my job. I started my own company. And I chose to create a life that gives me the freedom to combine the different parts of myself; the consultant, the entrepreneur, the creative, the person who apparently also really enjoys standing behind a coffee machine on a Sunday😂☕️
And through all those changes, WKND kept growing with me.
From wondering whether people would even show up… to seeing the same faces come back every Sunday, knowing your orders, watching people sit, talk, laugh and stay a little longer. Getting messages asking when we’re open again. Being invited to events. Hosting our first workshop. Trying things that worked and plenty that didn’t.
There have definitely been moments where I thought, Vienna, what are you doing? 😭
But there have been so many more moments where I’ve looked around and thought, wait… this is actually happening.
And I think that’s what makes these 6 months so special to me.
WKND is still becoming, and so am I (does it ever end? The becoming part?)
I don’t know exactly what it will look like another six months from now (for those that keep asking😜) and for once, I’m okay with that.
I’m just really grateful that I started & even more grateful for everyone who keeps showing up and growing with us.
We’re just getting started
