Brodic na Savi

Brodic na Savi Brodic – Rolling with Pizza and Beer Well, there are splavs and “splavs”. Brodic (meaning “a small ship” in Serbian) is one of my favorite splavs.

A lot of people consider “splavs” (floating structures of all types) as a real symbol of Belgrade coffee culture and nightlife. A lot of them are rather symbol of kitsch and bad music but luckily there are those where interesting people are still coming and great music is playing. Situated on the Sava River right bank, right behind the Belgrade Fair. The best period of the day to be there is late

afternoon – drinking a beer while watching the sun goes down and sailboats pass. One of their trademarks is pizza, in two sizes (24 cm and 32 cm). I like to finish my bike ride there – ordering. so called, Serbian pizza (don’t be afraid, it’s excellent) and draft beer. The music played is jazz and indie. In the summer, it’s hard to find a table outside – but be patient – there is a lot of room inside the boat so you can sit and drink while waiting for a free table on the deck, or stay there during winter. And after a boat passes and makes waves – enjoy the rolling! Note: It’s right across the Belgrade Fair buildings. If you don’t recognize a plate with the name “Brodic”, then try to recognize the floating object called “Bollywood” – “Brodic” is right next to it.
