A lot of hard work, planning and organization went into bringing a beautiful park for everyone to enjoy in Playa Avellana. Thank you to the volunteers and committee members for your time, effort and money for this amazing project!

This is the first phase of a large and ongoing community project that began in the planning and organizing stages many months ago. This week we were able to open the new public parking in order to close the old parking lot on the beach and start reforesting and repurposing it as a community park.

The funds from the parking lot are the only source of income to support this park reforestation and many more planting and protection projects planned for our coastal areas.

Please come see the progress and support our efforts by using the new parking lot and not parking illegally on the streets or other places along the beach.

Se dedicó mucho trabajo, planificación y organización a crear un hermoso parque para el disfrute de todos en Playa Avellana. ¡Gracias a los voluntarios y miembros del comité por su tiempo, esfuerzo y dinero para este increíble proyecto!

Esta es la primera fase de un proyecto comunitario grande y continuo que comenzó en las etapas de planificación y organización hace muchos meses. Esta semana pudimos abrir el nuevo estacionamiento público para cerrar el antiguo estacionamiento en la playa y comenzar a reforestarlo y reutilizarlo como un parque comunitario.

Los fondos del estacionamiento son la única fuente de ingresos para apoyar la reforestación de este parque y muchos más proyectos de plantación y protección planeados para nuestras áreas costeras.

Venga a ver el progreso y apoye nuestros esfuerzos al usar el nuevo estacionamiento y no estacionarse ilegalmente en las calles u otros lugares a lo largo de la playa.

We are so proud to have a community coming together at Lola’s to help with the lifeguard program! These efforts have saved over 800 lives and prevented over 15,000 drowning incidents.
