Our Story
We are a small 20-room boutique hotel, just minutes from the beach in Manuel Antonio. Full restaurant service starting with early breakfast and a Fresh highly rated Lunch and Dinner service. Full bar with daily drink specials is on offer and we often have live holiday style music for guests.
Mono means Monkey, Azul means Blue. Hotel Mono Azul has two names but one goal: giving our guests a fantastic stay. We are a small, mid-priced, casual hotel. Family-run and North American-owned, we are located in the heart of the lush Costa Rican rainforests and Pacific beaches of Manuel Antonio.
Mono Azul’s front desk reception is open from 6 am to 9 pm, but an overnight security guard is available for any emergencies at night. (He will even make a fresh pot of coffee for you if you ask.) Check-in is 3 pm and check-out is 12 noon, but we are very flexible to accommodate your arrival and departure times. We are on the bus line for the bus that runs between Manuel Antonio National Park/beaches and downtown Quepos. Or rent one of our golf carts for a great way to get around and see Quepos and Manuel Antonio up close. For lunch and dinner enjoy the full menu and friendly atmosphere in our Blues Bar and Restaurant. Our kitchen is open daily from 6 am to 9 pm. I recommend you ask about our daily dinner specials. Blues Bar is open until 10 pm or later if it stays busy.
