"Private Chef & Catering Service, Creating Memorable Culinary Experiences for Every Occasion" We can customize our services for any occasion.

Our Catering Services specialize in weddings, groups and private chef events. Best described as "Tropical Elegance", we combine French and International cuisine with fresh tropical ingredients from Costa Rica to create an unforgettable dining experience. As an 8th Generation Chef, I started cooking at the early age of eight, and had the privilege to grow up around amazing food. By 17, I was the sous-chef in my father's fine dining French restaurant and that is when I realized that cooking is not only a passion but also in my genes. After graduating from Johnston & Wales University in 2002 with BA in Food Service Entrepreneurship I became the executive chef of Cafe of the Arts in Sarasota, FL. After winning best young chef of the South East United States in a culinary competition in 2004, I decided to broaden my horizen by acquiring experience in other fine dining restaurants in New York and Paris (Lasserre). In 2004, it was time for a change and moved my family to Flamingo Beach, Costa Rica where we established Mar Y Sol Restaurant. We were open from 2004 to 2013 and developed a very good reputation in both the restaurant and our catering services. Mar y Sol closed in 2013 but we opened Coco Loco Restaurant and Bar on Flamingo Beach and the catering services have expanded."

In private dining, it’s never just about the final plate.
It’s about the movement behind it; the focus, the rhythm, the care in every step. Even in the middle of service, there’s intention in every detail.
Chef Jean-Luc still steps into these moments; not because he has to, but because he genuinely enjoys the process. The fire, the pressure, the precision… that’s where the experience is built.
Because true luxury isn’t rushed. It’s crafted.
