"Family tranquility in Monteverde

We stayed at Monteverde Lodge for 3 nights; two adults and two children aged 8 and 9. For this duration the lodge was perfect. Bedrooms are immaculate with a lovely small balcony with a stream that runs past (if downstairs). The size of the rooms is modest for four guests and there was limited storage space for cases and clothes, but we managed. Breakfasts were exceptional (served à la carte). The pool is small but lovely & heated. There are only 31 rooms so it doesn’t feel busy. The hotel has two nature trails which is a nice touch & wildlife wanders the grounds. The hotel restaurant serves excellent food but is notably fairly expensive (although about right for Costa Rica, which is fairly pricey everywhere). We would definitely recommend the hotel."
