Don’t kill a turkey.

In the wild, baby turkeys, called poults, stay with their mothers throughout the first year of their lives, but in factory farms, they hatch in incubators before being transported to sheds with other motherless poults. They never meet their mothers, and can only huddle around heat lamps for warmth.

Thanksgiving is often a very sad holiday for animal lovers, as millions are killed for this one day. But it doesn’t have to be this way! Thankfully, there is a vegan version of everything, so you can still have your traditions; mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffing, gravy, pies, and yes, 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑘𝑒𝑦, in a vegan version. You can be one less person contributing to this mass slaughter; holidays and traditions don’t have to mean cruelty! 🧡
