and we have plenty of activities if you decide you want to get out and explore.

* Rio Celeste Volcano Waterfall 20 minutes by car. Bijauga is the closest town to Rio Celeste. Rio Celeste is very unique with it’s bright blue water. The waterfall is unlike anything you’ll ever see anywhere else. It’s about a 120 minute hike up the unforgettable volcano. I wouldn’t recommend it for people who have difficulty walking long periods of time, and some people say it might not be a great idea for small children. But if you can go, it’s a hike you’ll always remember. You’ll see lots of exotic birds, butterflies, and beautiful bugs along the way. Also maybe some monkeys, sloths and snakes.

* Miravalles Volcano and waterfall is also very highly recommended, and that might not be up for the hike. The hike through the rainforest is outstanding, and when you get to the waterfall, and see the exotic birds and butterflies. There is a restaurant and bathrooms available. Bring shoes with traction, and a poncho if it looks like it’s going to rain. There are tour guides available, and we can happily recommend some if you wish.

* Bridges of Heliconias: The views from the very long and very high hanging bridges is breath taking. There are 4 bridges twhere you can see exotic snakes and frogs.

- If you care to go Bird watching, we have an excellent guide we can recommend to you. If you care for a very knowledgable and passionate about the wilderness guide, we have another one we can suggest. There can be lots of mosquito’s, but we have pure citronella oil spray for you to use to keep them away. This also is the rainforest, so poncho’s to borrow are included with your stay.
