The Younger Brothers

The Younger Brothers The Younger Brothers is a partnership born from friendship of Kogi coffee farmers and entrepreneurs TASTING NOTES

AROMA: Notes of lavender and brown sugar.

We are proud to offer our very first batch of single-origin, wild-harvest Kogi Coffee. Each bag of Kogi Coffee contains 12-ounces of whole bean, medium roast, arabica coffee, and has been deep-fermented to increase the quality of cup profile, flavors, and experience. Kogi Coffee carries notes of citrus, chocolate, and sugar cane, and is grown above 1,200-meters altitude. A fresh green earthiness i

n the bouquet. BODY: A very balanced body that dances between creamy and delicate. Like 2% milk. ACIDITY: Like a squeeze of lime on tacos, there's a really nice tartness that cuts through thick roasty notes without overpowering the richness of the roast. FLAVOR: Right off the bat is a strong lightly roasted barley flavor, followed by a savory umami note, that finishes light and sweet like toasted corn. FINISH: The coffee lingers, but just enough that leaves you wanting more. Doesn't really stick to the teeth, but does continue to express itself as you breathe. That roasted barley note evolves into more of a full-fledged toasted bread flavor, that's really nice.

🇺🇸 - USA - The Younger Brothers

🌿 There are places with a special kind of energy.
Places you don’t just see, you feel them. They can only be found with an open heart, guided by the Mamos and the Kogi people, who read the land, listen to the water and the wind, and sense the memory carried in the stones.

🌎✨ The Kogi people live in the majestic Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, in northern Colombia, is divided across three departments:

📍 Cesar: Kuiñkamake, Awiñgui, Sheñdukua
📍 La Guajira: Tsheldua, Alduaxa
📍 Magdalena (Ciénaga): Mañkuaxa and Seyteñ

👣 Around 18,000 people belong to this ancestral community, direct descendants of the Tayrona civilization.
They live in deep harmony with nature, carrying the mission of protecting the balance of the world.

☕ Our connection with them flows through coffee.
A sacred coffee from the Sauna lineage

Their message is clear: ‘Zhigoneshi’, we are connected. 🌿✨

🪨There is a thread that ties us beyond time.
In the heart of the Sierra Nevada, we walk beside , a Kogi messenger, guide, and guardian. Through his voice, we listen not just to stories, but to the Earth itself.

Adolfo reminds us that we, the Younger Brothers, have a responsibility: to awaken, to listen, and to reconnect.
To remember that every action ripples across the web of life.

This connection is not symbolic, it’s real, powerful, and urgent.
We walk forward, side by side, bridging worlds. ✋✋🏾

🎬✨ Exciting News! ✨🎬

We’re collaborating with top filmmakers to produce a documentary highlighting the rich heritage of the Sauna Family, the Kogi Culture, and The Younger Brothers.

This production will explore how cultivating wild organic coffee in Colombia serves as a bridge to preserve the Kogi community’s ancient traditions.

Stay tuned as we bring these stories to life, connecting the past with the present, and sharing the Kogi’s wisdom with the world.

🌿✨ Yesterday was a day of deep connection.
We officially opened the first Nañikue Connection Point between the “younger brothers” and elder brothers in Provenza, Medellín-Colombia.

“Zhigoneshi” is a powerful word from the Kogi community that reminds us that we are all interconnected. It speaks of mutual care, respect, and collaboration.

🛖 With deep gratitude, we welcomed the ‘Sauna Family,’ who journeyed from the heart of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, walking eight hours through the mountains before flying to Medellín just to be here and share their wisdom, energy, and sacred culture with us.

To our friends, clients, and team: thank you for being part of this ceremonial moment. This is just another step in this meaningful journey. 🌱

We especially thank the Sauna Family, our partners, Peter Whitney, our CEO, Pablo Molina, our Head of Brand, and Angy Palencia, our Head of Finance.
