Ironically, the prohibition era made the cocktail culture more prosperous and vivid in the US. Traditionally, speakeasies were places for illegal boozing that came to prominence during that period. But ever since, they have taken on a mythical status: teacups brimming with gin, suave jazz musicians and a glitzy, retro dress code. The OPPOSITE bar pays tribute to the Prohibition era with a 1920s feel. OUR MIXOLOGIST: The OPPOSITE welcomes Allen Hsu, one of the most beloved mixologists in town.
