Ghana International Model United Nations (GIMUN) is Africa's biggest and best mock UN conference which simulates some of the UN Committees and Agencies. Young people on the continent and beyond gather under one roof to debate and find solutions to some of the numerous challenges confronting the world.
Students and young people ( 16 - 30 years) are assigned to member states of the UN and role play as Foreign missions and ambassadors .They present position papers and debate on behalf of their countries.
At GIMUN, delegates get the chance to widen their networking database to the nature of our conference. Despite the continuous formal sessions, delegates make time to entertain themselves during social events. They freely interact with the beautiful ladies and gentlemen who participate in the four- day conference.
The Sixth Session of GIMUN is being organised by Council for Capacity Development (CCD World) in partnership with United Nations Information Center ( UNIC-Accra). Eight Committees are going to be simulated under the theme "The MDGs in Retrospect: Setting the path right for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)"
Delegates will enjoy meals and accommodation; internal transportation ; t-shirts, folders, pens; and certificates. They will also embark on a Tour to interesting places in the Eastern region of Ghana.
Best delegates will be awarded and join our delegations to other international conferences.
We will be happy to see you in Accra, 6th-10th January, 2015.
