Aspenware cutlery is all natural, comprised of two layers of aspen/poplar and pine (both planted and farmed in Chile) veneer laminated with a safe and organic glue. The cutlery is sprayed with a tasteless glaze that eliminates any wooden taste. Aspenware cutlery is different tan most disposable utinsils because is made from woode– a fully renewable, reciclable and compostable resource. While designed for single-use applications, the cutlery can be washed clean and re-used several times. A descomposition study found that even under less than ideal conditions, Aspenware cutlery was approximately 33% descomposed after 45 days and that it completely broke down in 65 days under well-managed composting conditions.
