yes it is true. but lets beginn this text not with the end..
5 years ago we wanted to overtake the Bonnie Prince Pub, but the owner of the building wouldn't let the previous owner out of the contract, saying that our ''just founded'' Company doesn't have enough money or credentials (obviusly after just beeing founded). so the previus owner subrented it to us. we had the hope that the owner of the building will see, how reliable we are and is willing to give a contract to us after those 5 years. nope, even we trippled the income monthly compared to the last 10 years of the pubs existence, we even paid full rent (except 1 Month we only paid a 1/3) during corona times. it really started to bloom but still he brought excuses, that once a lamp was broken next to the toilette and we didnt fix it fast enough ( by the way the inventory belongs to us, so he has no saying in that) he said he had to be ashamed in front of his friends who were in the pub during that time... we argued, with many things, renovations, upgrades, we are willing to do whatever it needs, but still nope.. being tattooed and a bit different def. didn't help aswell XD
yes thats basicly the reason why the second oldest pub in Zürich will close by the end of August.. and it makes us sad.. the inventory and everything else will be riped out, so all thats left is concrete and dust. maybe we get another stylish and hip coffee place. who knows.
there will be a goodbye party 17th&18th of August.
i know this is far away. but we are hoping to see you all for one last time. make it worth the wile, dance, scream, celebrate, let's have a party like never before. we all gonna miss you dear Bonnie Prince Pub
October would have been your 50th birthday 🙏
