Cold cake straight from the fridge is a definite no-no!

While buttercream cakes should absolutely be stored in the fridge, they are always best enjoyed at room

If you’re serving your cake at a birthday party or celebration, I recommend taking it out of the fridge a couple of hours beforehand. This allows the sponge to become beautifully soft again and the buttercream to turn smooth, creamy, and full of flavour exactly as intended.

My cakes will last up to 5 days in the fridge when stored correctly.

If you have leftovers, simply store the cake in an airtight container or wrap it up properly and keep it refrigerated.

Whenever you’d like another slice, cut one out and allow it to come to room temperature before enjoying.

It really does make all the difference. I hope this little tip helps.
