We are Zurich's very first Southern Fried Chicken Restaurant We have two locations, Zurich (opened in 2017) and Basel (opened in 2021).

It's a family-owned business that specializes in Premium Fried Chicken using local ingredients on the menu. Our chicken is brined for 24-hours, making the meat very tender, thereafter, it’s coated in buttermilk and a gluten-free batter, then double-fried to perfection. The name "Yardbird" comes from a term derived in the deep South, where chickens are often considered the bird that runs freely in your backyard. It's a staple in the South and will now be introduced to Zurich. We hope you enjoy what we do!

When you’re lucky enough to collaborate with your friends, and can still call it work✌🏾😛 Birds & Bubbles Vol. II took place at Yardbird Weststrasse a couple of weeks ago. We had so much fun teaming up with the champagne brothers of Zurich to do our second event together.

& forever👐🏾 Fried Chicken & Champagne Never tasted better.

Thanks to all of our amazing guests for coming out that night. We had a blast….and you cleaned us out of champagne 😂 I guess we’re going to have to restock
