Stevie Ray Vaughan wurde am 3. Oktober 1954 geboren und entwickelte sich zu einem der bedeutendsten Blues-Rock-Gitarristen. Zu seinen Vorbildern zählten große Musiker wie Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, Albert King und Buddy Guy, die seinen musikalischen Stil prägten.

Als Mitglied der Band „Double Trouble“ machte er mit Alben wie „Texas Flood“, „Couldn’t Stand the Weather“ und „In Step“ eine neue Generation von Zuhörern mit dem Texas-Blues bekannt. Leider endete seine Karriere 1990 vorzeitig, als er erst 35 Jahre alt war.

Born on 3rd October 1954, Stevie Ray Vaughan became one of the most significant blues-rock guitarists. His influences included great musicians such as Jimi Hendrix, B.B.King, Albert King, and Buddy Guy, who shaped his musical style.

Playing in the band called Double Trouble, albums like Texas Flood, Couldn’t Stand the Weather, and In Step introduced Texas blues to a new generation of listeners. Sadly, his career ended prematurely in 1990 when he was only 35 years old.

Der 1942 in Seattle geborene Jimi Hendrix war ein US-amerikanischer Musiker, der Elemente aus Blues, Feedback, Verzerrung und Improvisation miteinander verband und so einen einzigartigen Stil schuf. Zusammen mit The Jimi Hendrix Experience schuf Hendrix Hits wie „Purple Haze“, „Hey Joe“ und „The Wind Cries Mary“.

Von „Are You Experienced“ bis „Electric Ladyland“, einschließlich Hendrix’ Interpretation von „The Star-Spangled Banner“ bei Woodstock, experimentierte der Musiker ständig mit seiner Musik.
