A tribute to Steve - my soulmate, my late husband, the father of my son Joel and the best business partner I could ever asked for. Today marks two years since Steve passed away on 13 June 2024 — a day I will never forget.
Beyond the grief and the profound loss of losing him, I often reflect on the journey that followed. Back then, I was the office girl, while he was the driving force behind operations. When he was gone, I was left to find a way forward and carry on the business we had built together. It was far from easy, but over the past two years I have learned more than I ever thought possible.
One of the greatest lessons I have learned is that passion and heart are what truly matter. Skills can be acquired, systems can be developed, and challenges can be overcome, but genuine passion, commitment, and care are what keep a business—and the people within it—moving forward.
At Hotel Post Andeer, Steve left behind far more than operational excellence. He left a spirit, a culture, and a legacy that continues to shape who we are today. His influence can still be felt in the way we work, the way we welcome our guests, and the values we strive to uphold every day.
Perhaps true success is not measured by what we build during our lifetime, but by what continues to grow and inspire long after we are gone. What Steve built, and the values he lived by, continue to guide us every single day.
