There are a lot of reasons we love Folk on the Rocks.
The music is incredible, but it's the people that keep us coming back.

Catching up with old friends. Meeting new ones. Watching the next generation discover a festival many of us grew up with.

A small project with a big purpose.

This week, alongside the incredible team at NWT Shift, we installed a new public parklet outside Barren Ground Coffee.

It's open to everyone.

We believe great downtowns are built one small improvement at a time. A bench. A bike rack. A mural. A café. A place to pause, meet a friend, enjoy a coffee, or simply watch the city go by.

At Barren Ground Coffee, we've always believed coffee is about more than what's in the cup. It's about creating places where people feel welcome, connected, and part of their community.

A huge thank you to SHIFTNWT for helping bring this project to life, and to everyone who continues to support our vision for a more vibrant downtown Yellowknife.

If you stop by, grab a seat, enjoy the sunshine, and help us keep it looking great for everyone.
