The Fry Department will be

CLOSED Friday through Sunday

As we trade in our fry baskets for dart flights and head off to compete in the 48th annual Canadian Open Dart Tournament.

For one weekend only, we'll be aiming for triple 20s instead of perfectly cooked fries.

We’ll be back Monday for lunch & dinner, then Tuesday through Friday breakfast will make its return.

Thank you all for the continued support, and if you're watching the darts this weekend, cheer a little extra loud for The Fry Department and all the competitors representing Canadian dart leagues across the country.

With the amount of rain coming down today, we weren’t sure if we should make a lunch special or just start serving emotional support food.

So naturally, we did both.

Our In House Fresh Cut Fries, St. Albert’s Cheese Curds, Vegetarian Gravy, loaded with Crispy Deep Fried Mac & Cheese Bites, Drizzled With Your Choice of In House Made Buffalo or BBQ sauce, topped with Ranch, Bacon, and Green Onions.

It’s cheesy, crispy, saucy, and exactly the kind of thing you deserve after swimming your way to lunch.

Since reopening this season, one question has been asked more than any other…

“When is breakfast coming back?”

Well, the wait is over.

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday June 16th through Thursday June 18th, we’ll be serving breakfast from 7:00 AM - 10:30 AM.

THEN at 11:00AM, we’ll switch over to our regular lunch menu and serve until 7:00 PM.

AND YES! The favourites are making their return!!!

As always, everything is made fresh to order. If you’re looking for a coffee to go with breakfast, our friends inside Nicholls Esso have you covered.

A breakfast calendar will be posted shortly as we work around schedules and figure out which mornings we’ll be serving breakfast throughout the summer.

We’re excited to see some familiar faces bright and early again and finally put an end to the daily “when’s breakfast coming back?” conversations.

Sanddwichhhhh Speciallll

Is here. Today. Saturday. June 13th.

Here’s what we did.

Weee, took a Caesar salad, gave it a promotion, and turned it into a sandwich.

This is what you get.

FRESHLY Grilled Chicken, lightly tossed in a Sweet Chipotle Sauce, piled high with chopped Caesar salad (bacon, lettuce, croutons, dressing), topped with In House Made Bacon Jam, Shaved Parmesan Cheese, and an extra drizzle of Caesar Dressing because we believe excitement should be mandatory.
All served on a Garlic Parmesan Baguette.

With summer around the corner (literally a week away), we’re pretty sure the lettuce cancels out everything else. That’s how summer bodies work, right?

It’s Fresh. It’s Messy. It’s probably the most fun a Caesar salad has ever had.

Special SMASH of the day (and tomorrow).

The ZAAA Smash

…We may have crossed a line with this one, but we're okay with that.

Our Fresh, Never frozen 100% Ground Beef Smash Burger topped with Tomato Basil sauce, melted Provolone Cheese, shaved Parmesan, and Beef Pepperoni Slices, all Smashed together on a Garlic Parsley Toasted bun.

Basically, if a pizza and a smash burger made some questionable life decisions, this would be the result.

$5 Today and Tomorrow or until we run out of supplies (which, lately, seems to happen faster than we’d like to admit😅).

Come grab one, judge us if you must, and then immediately order a second.

Introducing… The Heart Attack SMASH

This one is absolutely not approved by your doctor, but it is approved by us 😘

Our FRESH, never frozen, 100% GroundBeef Double SMASH burger, layered with Double Provolone cheese, topped with Juicy Steak Slices, a bed of Sautéed Onions on the bottom bun, our In House Bacon Jam, and finished with our In House Flame Roasted Red Pepper Mayo. All Smashed between a double toasted bun and served up while supplies last.

It’s the kind of burger that requires two hands, several napkins, and a promise not to look at the calorie count.

Available for dinner today (Monday, June 8th).

Alright Woodlawn. I owe you one.

Yesterday I said we’d be open today, and I genuinely planned on it.

But after the last few weeks, I’ve realized I need one more day to recharge. Running a food truck is a lot of things, but apparently “taking days off” isn’t one of my stronger skills.

So The Fry Department will be CLOSED today

I know some of you were planning on stopping by, and I’m sorry for the last minute change.

The good news is this is one day. We’ve got some big plans coming this month, breakfast is making its return, and we’re getting ready for what should be a very exciting stretch of the season.

Thank you for continuing to support my little truck and big dream. Every order, every visit to the window, every comment, and every recommendation to a friend helps make this possible. I don't take that for granted.

If you swipe through the photos, you'll see a bit of what goes on behind the scenes. The 6:00AM grocery runs, hauling potatoes, loading supplies, cleaning, prepping, and all the less glamorous parts of running a food truck that somehow take up most of the week. It turns out french fries require a surprising amount of adulting.

West Carleton Class of 2026, WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The Class of 2026 has been a huge part of The Fry Department’s first year. Whether it was stopping by after school, keeping us busy all season, or helping us sell out of fries more times than we'd like to admit... YOU guys have been there from the start.

So, we teamed up with Nicholls Esso to put together a special West Carleton Class of 2026 Grad Collection featuring hoodies & t-shirts.

Before we go ahead with an order, we wanted to see if there's enough interest

If there's enough interest, we’ll open pre orders and get these rolling.

In all seriousness, thank you to the graduating class for supporting two local businesses this year. It’s been pretty cool watching so many of you grow up, graduate, and become familiar faces at the window.
