Simple supper for a simple old man
Swiss Cheese Omelette
Little too much egg for the size of my pan
And
The pan also got a tad hot on me
Proper omelette should have no colour
But
Still nice and moist and fluffy inside
I don’t cook as much as I should
Because when I do it makes wanna cook for yall 😢

This is how we Winter in the West End
After 3 consecutive days of blowing and shoveling snow
I deserve this
We don’t eat steak very often
But
When we do
It’s cooked with love on the grill
Girls did a great job with the sides
Was a real treat for sure

Last day in Rome
Woke up to a bright light in the sky
Breakfast at the hotel was top shelf
Jenny had a tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel
Which left me on my own in Vatican City
Unsupervised
For over 4 hours
With Jenny’s wallet in my pocket
I had me an awesome caffe macchiato
Pizza
Gelati
And
The obligatory Fanta
I did some souvenir shopping for the grand children’s
Walked around exploring
Then
Parked my ass in the piazza until momma found me at our meeting spot
All told I only blew around 500€ of her cash 🥳
We saw a great busker just outside Vatican City on our walk back to the hotel
Organized all the purchases
Logged the receipts for Customs
Packed our bags
Which are a s**t ton heavier and fuller than we arrived
We also have an additional carry on that was acquired in Pistoia 🤷🏼‍♂️
Tomorrow we’re off to the airport
Direct flight from Rome to Calgary
Four hour layover
Then flight back to Winnipeg
I hope you’ve enjoyed our humble adventures of Italy and Vatican City
It’s been a life changing experience for this old man

A rare sighting of the white coloured s**t hawk
These freaks of nature are generally spotted only in Vatican City
Legend has it that centuries ago a regular s**t hawk found its way into the catacombs and the dead Popes came together in vengeance and took away his colourful demeanour
These lonely fu***rs are rejected by the herds of full colour turd birds and live a life of solitude roaming Vatican City in search of their true colours
