GaiJin Izakaya is hiring Line Cook!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Schedule:
Day shift
Holidays
Monday to Friday
Night shift
Weekends as needed

Job Summary

-Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
-Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces etc.)
-Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
-Maintain health standards for raw and finished products
-Stock inventory appropriately
-Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

Requirements:
-Must Speak, Read, Understand Basic English
-Knife skills is required
-Must be able to multi-task
-Willingness to learn
-Adaptability
-Strong work ethic
-Ability to work as a team

Experience:
-Line Cook: 1 year (required)
at least 1 year experience working as a Line cook. Experience in sushi or Japanese cuisine is an asset
-Japanese cuisine: 2 years (preferred)

Korokke dreams do come true. 🤤🤤

A little info for you ❤️ - Korokke (コロッケ) are Japanese croquettes, a popular deep-fried comfort food with a crispy panko crust and a soft, savory filling, typically made from mashed potatoes mixed with ingredients like ground meat, seafood, or vegetables.
(But ours is purely veggies—potatoes, green peas, corn and carrots— served with Tonkatsu sauce and some fresh cabbage on the side😉)
