Roadtown Wholesale has officially launched the Caribbean's largest rooftop solar installation, taking an important step towards the adoption of renewable energy at The North West Company and in the British Virgin Islands!

The installation will provide approximately 30 percent of the facility’s annual electricity needs, reducing carbon emissions and contributing to energy resilience in the region.

We’re proud to support organizations like Live Different that equip young people with the confidence, empathy, and leadership skills they need to improve their wellbeing and make positive impacts in their communities.

With a $15,000 grant from the Healthy Horizons Foundation and a matched donation from The North West Company, together, we contributed $30,000 to Live Different’s Circles program, which uses the tradition of Indigenous sharing circles to promote mental health among youth in northern Indigenous communities.

We are honoured to partner with Live Different in creating environments where young people can feel seen and supported. 💚

Last month, the Girl Guides of Canada Happy Valley Rangers Unit put their culinary and leadership skills to the test by cooking and delivering meals to over one hundred community members in need!

With the help of an $800 donation from North West, the Rangers learned to prepare a variety of nutritious meals and delivered them to local housing shelters in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL. The unit started this initiative as part of the Girl Guides of Canada Leadership Award program, which encourages girls to take on leadership roles and make positive impacts in their communities.

Let’s have a round of applause for everyone who generously donated to our Healthy Horizons Foundation during our annual manager’s conference!

Together, Nor’Westers and our partners raised over $17,000 by participating in our HHF raffle prize draw and charitable auction. These funds go to supporting programs and services for youth in Northern Canada, like the afterschool Northy Club program which promotes physical activity, education, and nutrition.

From far east to even farther north, our store managers made the trek across Canada to join us in Winnipeg for our annual manager’s conference!

Throughout the week, managers took part in interactive sessions led by our support office teams to discuss store operations, explore new practices, and ensure our customers’ voices are heard. The trade show provided them with quality time with vendors, getting to know both the products on their shelves and the people who supply them.
