It has come to our attention that some of you are not able to access our Facebook feed and I am trying to figure out why. For some reason the Meta gods on Facebook but not Instagram have deemed my music postings as not appropriate for people under 18 🤷♂️. And any request to review the content has done nothing to change the designation.
And in other top notch technology nonsense, Google has us located inside the West End Cultural Centre 😲
So for Facebook they are telling me to take down the posts and that should hopefully take off the restriction. I have gone through the posts deemed inappropriate and all are music postings with the only thing in common being a few hashtags and sponsors. From that it looks like a simple hashtag might be causing the issue, so we'll be changing them up. That being said there will be a number of music posts I will be deleting on Facebook and just want everyone to know what is going on and why.
With regard to Google, we and others have suggested edits to no avail. And nothing I've done allows me to change it on the business profile.
And of course, with both issues there is no actual person that I am aware that can be reached to try and resolve these issue. Oh well, what can we do but try and work around the algorithms the machines are laying down for us to navigate.
No hashtags, no tags, just a post on what's happening and hopefully something works its way out of this technological labyrinth.
