Wednesday — SIDES
Music was made to be flipped. Every record has two stories, and on Wednesdays, you decide which one gets played. Pick Side A or Side B, and we’ll let the vinyl take it from there.

Thursday — MINIMAL
Presented by refused. Minimal is rooted in repetition, subtle changes, and the hypnotic grooves that emerged from the underground scenes of Detroit, Berlin, and beyond. It’s music that rewards listening as much as dancing.

Friday – Mystic Garden Official Opening Party
Hush & Friends with Myles Dexter. Launch the energy before opening day with an intimate night of deep grooves and late-night selections.

Saturday – Mystic Garden Official Afterparty

Wednesday — Machine Spirit
A night dedicated to live electronic performance. Expect hardware-driven improvisation, evolving rhythms, and spontaneous collaboration from Chad D, Ishkode, Nodes of Terra, and Serpentine.

Thursday — Shane McCarthy (Vancouver) w. Justin James
We’re excited to welcome Shane McCarthy to ekō for a night rooted in deep, driving house music with impeccable selection. Justin James opens the evening, setting the tone for a journey on the sound system.

Friday — Mitchy Blooms & Myles Dexter
A special send-off for Mitchy before he heads away. Expect familiar faces, a packed room, and an open-format night full of house, grooves, and the kind of energy that only happens when the community comes together.

Saturday — Air.Play featuring Nabs the DJ (Open Air Patio Grooves)
Classic house takes over the patio. Air.Play is all about sunshine, cocktails, conversation, and timeless records in an open-air setting. Start outside, stay for the night.

Sunday — Hi-Fi Society
A slower finish to the week. Deep cuts, rare grooves, and music-first listening with fellow collectors, selectors, and industry friends. Bring your ears and discover something new.

Saturday was one for the books.

From PULSE.pelissier with Daniel Bell’s 9 hour marathon set to our late-night club session with Designated Jim and crew, over 13 hours of music brought an incredible community together.

Thank you to everyone who came out, and a huge shoutout to the ekō staff for powering through an unforgettable day.

Week 74 is shaping up to be one of our busiest yet.

With events, collaborations, new opportunities, and plenty happening behind the scenes, much of our focus this week is on what’s ahead rather than what’s already happened. There are exciting developments taking shape both within ekō and throughout the downtown core, and we’re looking forward to sharing more as things come together.

For now, we’re keeping our heads down and doing the work.

We’ll be back to our regular, more detailed weekly updates soon. Until then, consider this a forecast: busy days, late nights, good music, and lots to look forward to.

Grateful for a staff that shows up with care, energy, and pride every day. The drinks, music, and atmosphere matter, but it’s the people behind it all who make this place what it is.

We’re equally thankful for a community that continues to support local, support each other, and help shape what this space has become. We don’t take it for granted.

Something is happening in our city core.

More and more, people are talking about the energy, creativity, and life returning downtown instead of focusing on the blight that once defined the conversation.

As a wise man said recently, this is not a zero-sum game. It’s about passionate people coming together, doing something special, and uplifting both themselves and the community in the process.

This weekend was proof of that. Multiple downtown businesses worked together to create incredible experiences for the people of Windsor. Different ideas, different audiences, different approaches: all contributing to something bigger than any one of us could do alone.

It’s beautiful to see, and there are no signs of it slowing down.
