The word “Mole” comes from the Nahuatl “Mulli” which means Mix. There are more than 50 different kinds of Mole in Mexican gastronomy. Mole Verde is part of the popular ones. This green Sauce has an smooth texture, pumpkin seed and sesame seed notes, a rich taste of poblano pepper and jalapeño pepper and an amazing cilantro after taste with an slightly spicy end.
At Alebrijes Kitchen, we serve this delicious sauce with Lamb Barbacoa, carrots, red radish, fenugreek and cilantro... and of course handmade tortillas on the side! It’s one of the house best seller’s! Come and give it a try!

Pipian is a sauce that is said to have origins in the ancient Aztec and Mayan cuisines. Our Red Pipian have a creamy and smooth texture, an amazing peanut and roasted red tomato flavour, and some sherry vinegar notes.
