Fall is here and so is our roasted squash soup with black bean & ginger. These squash are lovingly grown at North Arm Farm in Pemberton — they had a great Summer and now it is time to eat them.

Garnish with charred eggplant and some good olive oil. Pair with a 2025 Pinot Gris from Phantom Creek Okanagan, if you are so inclined.

Our Fall Savory 3-Course begins Sept 29th - check website for updates, we’re still working on the menu, but it will be good.

You’re welcome!

Chef Marcus and the Alta Team.

Chef Marcus Smith, with nearly one year at the helm of Alta, brings his French techniques and a broad Asian cooking background that meld into deep, bold flavors. He strives for crave-able, shareable dishes with approachable simplicity but packs flavors and boldness with layers that you will remember. This is his take on a sharable chicken dish from one of BC top poultry farms.
