Cafe Cap Egmont submitted two applications to the PEI government last year. We paid the fees, bought all the necessary supplies and setup all of the equipment to pass requirements. One was an application to ministry of PEI to have a Cafe in Cap Egmont. The second was an application to the Health Ministry for an inspection of our kitchen so that we could make meals.
Neither have been looked at yet.
Despite our efforts and significant investment last year- to build the Cafe and install everything the regulations required, we have not been a priority for the review of our applications.
We have made the decision now to remain closed this season. So sorry for the sad news to this community that we love. Let’s hope for future our little rural dream will be looked at and considered. I will let you know if an application review ever comes.
