The reason we all showed up. 🦀

Fresh BC crab, caught close to home and enjoyed exactly where it should be, surrounded by good people on Vancouver Island.

CrabFest may only happen once a year, but our appreciation for the fishers, harvesters and people behind BC’s local seafood industry is year-round.


And yes… we could absolutely go for another bucket right about now.

Good food, cold drinks, live music, a whole lot of BC crab and one pretty incredible community showing up to celebrate it all.

BC CrabFest 2026 was one for the books , and we’re already dreaming about what comes next.

Until then, we’ll just be over here reliving it through the camera roll.

The people behind the boil 🦀

An Authentic BC Crab Boil takes a lot of planning, skill and teamwork. From preparing fresh BC Dungeness crab and Salt Spring Island mussels to cooking the sides, melting the butter and serving each bucket, this team handled it all.

A heartfelt thank you to Chef David Lang, Chef Paul Stewart and Chef Scott Doust for bringing their experience and leadership to the kitchen, and to the incredible Camosun College Culinary Arts students who worked alongside them throughout the day.

We are also deeply grateful to Sysco Victoria and all of our local food partners, including Salt Spring Island Mussels, BCfresh and BC Dairy, for helping us serve a generous, local meal.
