In the heart of Fairfield. Mon 9am-3pm, Tues to Fri 8am-4pm, Saturday 9am-3pm. We are a boutique cafe-bakery-eatery with indoor seating and a cozy, covered and dog friendly outdoor patio. Our offerings include coffee & espresso drinks, fresh baked treats, delectable breakfast and lunch eats, smoothies, and custom cakes and pies. We are open Tuesday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm,
Saturday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and offer Sunday Brunch 9:00 am to 3 pm.

We are proud to be partnered with local Victoria coffee roaster Mile Zero Coffee to bring you your daily dose of caffeine (or decaf), hot or cold, to go along with any of our sweet/savoury baked treats or fresh eats, including 1 lb bags to purchase for your home brewing. ☕️👍

Before we opened our cafe four years ago, we taste-tested many local brands of coffee. We chose Mile Zero Coffee not only because the owner Brad is friendly, knowledgeable and cool to do business with, but also because:

- They source exclusively Arabica, fair trade specialty coffee beans, and, wherever possible, it’s organic certified! 👏
- Their beans are air roasted, meaning they are not over-exposed to high heat, resulting in a smooth, rich flavour with much less acidity and bitterness than other coffees. 👍
- They roast in small batches. The coffee beans delivered to us have just been roasted for us, which ensures that the coffee we serve you is as fresh as can be. 😎

Sundays we are closed as you can tell in this video. Even on a day off, I do find myself back at the cafe. However, it's in these quiet moments, I'm reminded how grateful I am that Peckish Cafe gets to be part of the Fairfield-Gonzales community here in Victoria. 🤍

To everyone who continues to visit us, support us, bring your friends and family in, or recommend us to others, I am grateful. It makes me and our team happy hearing a new customer say “A friend told me I had to come check this place out.” Thank you. 🙏

I also want to give a big shoutout to all other small business owners out there. These tougher economic times ask a lot from all of us, and I know how many extra hours happen behind the scenes just to keep things going. You’re not alone in it. 👏

On Sundays, Peckish Cafe is closed... but today, on Mother’s Day, I s'pose I used a perk of owning a cafe. 🤷‍♂️ While closed, me and my partner invited my Mother Sherry (and her partner Terry) down to enjoy a meal that I made in the kitchen. 👍

Along with espresso drinks, mimosas, baked treats, we had fancied tuna and stuffed avocado salad plates. We had the cafe to ourselves and we all enjoyed good conversation and just being in each other's company. It was perfect. 😃

In the same way I love my mother, I send love to all mothers and mother figures out there. Happy Mother’s Day! 🫶💗

OPEN MIC SATURDAYS START THIS WEEKEND! 🎤🎶

We’re excited to officially kick off our first Open Mic Saturdays at Peckish Cafe this Saturday, May 9th, 10am-1pm! ☕🎵😃

This is all about community, connection, creativity, and simply enjoying live music together on our patio this summer. 😎

Whether you’ve been performing for years, are just starting out, or have always wanted to try singing or playing in front of people for the first time, you are welcome here! 👏

🕘 Musician sign-up begins in person at 9:45am.
🎶 Performances run from 10am–1pm.
☀️ Saturdays on our patio (weather permitting).

Come perform or simply grab a coffee & bite to eat and enjoy the music with us! 🤍

- All Iced Espresso Drinks and Cold Brew (bro) 🤭
- Iced Matcha Lattes
- House-made iced Fizzy Pink Lemonade

WE'RE BUILDING A COMMUNITY! 🫶

We are hosting open mic sessions every Saturday, from 10am to 1pm (our peak busiest time) OUTDOORS 😎 ON OUR TWO-LEVELED PATIO (unlike the first video where we did that one indoors). The other photo/audio is of where performances will be. 😃

To kick it off, this Saturday, May 9th, from 11am to 12pm, we will have Peckish Cafe owner Chris's partner Timothy O (Instagram ) perform 9 songs, ranging from pop, dance(ish), ballads, to country tunes. If you believe in taking second chances and letting go of regrets, we invite you to come watch his performance. 👍

CALLING OTHER LOCAL SINGERS/MUSICIANS: Before his performance, Timothy will be there at 9:45am to set up. If you sing/play indie-pop, indie-folk, pop, country songs, or other easy-listening tunes, and would like to perform a few songs (up to half hour), starting at 10am, and then after 12pm to 1pm, you can email us at [email protected]. Please let us know how many songs you'd like to perform. Although not necessary, if you have a Spotify, Instagram profile, or a FB page, you can share that with us). If the event grows, performers can just show up before the start time and perform a few songs on a first-come, first-serve basis, rather than being scheduled.

Let's build a community together, have a good time listening to music, and support local musicians. 🎵 🤍

We very much appreciate all customers who visit us, especially locals in the neighbourhood who walk to us, including staff of the nearby businesses and school. 👏

We've heard you. You want your hot beverages (especially coffee/espresso), your breakfast/lunch bites and baked treats on Mondays too! 🤷‍♂️ So, starting May 4th, we will now be open on Mondays as well, from 9am to 3pm.
(*We may adjust these hours as customers slowly start to learn we are now open on Mondays.) 👍
