🙊 Say no to disposable items and explain why. I had great conversations so far with baristas, event planners, etc

Together we can totally ditch disposable items. It’s a small step and action we can all do in this messy world right now.

Thanks for reading 📖😊

Oh Oui! Lots of good information on reuse systems in Quebec 😊 that’s what we do and aim on doing on Vancouver Island.

Well done La vague 🌊 ☕️💗

Happy to hear the requiring that businesses use only reusable products for dine-in services will be effective soon on March 5, 2026 🙌 ☕️

Comment with an emoji if you’re happy that the City adopted the Single-Use Items Reduction Bylaw (No. 23-013) to reduce single-use item waste and encourage the use of reusable products. We certainly are! It’s a step in the right direction.

So together let’s make reuse the norm!

Great news! Something we advocate for for many years!

When you dine in, saying no to disposable items is a bare minimum 😊

♻️ Coming March 5: When you dine in at cafés and restaurants in Victoria, you’ll see reusable plates, cups and cutlery—not disposables.

It’s the next step in our Single Use Items Reduction Bylaw to cut waste across Victoria.

We are taking a break from the goals, to-do lists, and year end achievements to simply relax and recharge.

Here in Fiji we see first hand how pollution affects the beaches and the lands, and we feel more committed than ever to reduce, reuse and repurpose. In 2019 we chose reusable plastic cups and containers to offer an affordable solution for a sharing program on Vancouver Island and six years later we still hope that in a near future we can move away from plastic even if we use recycled one as much as possible.

Anyway ~ please enjoy your holidays and take care of yourself and the people and environment around you 💗

post says it all!!

Let’s commit to a more sustainable holiday season:
-less packaging
-more care and thrift store shopping
-host meals with real cutlery, plates, glasses and mugs
-have to-go containers when you host or go somewhere
-slow down and enjoy dine in options
-enjoy the change!! The goal isn’t to add pressure on yourself but to embrace new ways of doing

Thanks to our partners and customers 🙌❤️🙌
