We decided to close our restaurant for remembrance day (Friday, November 11th). We’ll be back the day after on Saturday.

Hi sushi lovers

It was great to see everyone again. Thank you for your support and patience during the long wait. We would like to let everyone know that half of our kitchen staff and servers are new. Especially in the kitchen, it's still taking some time for them to adjust and learn the menu. Because of this, there have been times when orders were pushed back and customers had to wait over an hour for their food. We are trying different methods to fix this issue and hope we can find a solution. We might have to stop taking orders earlier if we fall behind on orders or run out of ingredients. Although it's currently less than ideal, we hope that we can work through this. Thanks for visiting Sushi Kawa and we hope to see you again :)

Thank you so much for sending kind messages and for waiting for us. We would also like to ask for your patience, as we have new kitchen staff. It will take some time for us to adjust with the new team, so please let us know if you have any feedback. We will focus on providing good service and food for you, and are all so excited to see you again.

First of all we want to apologize for the lack of updates. We have been told once again that the construction will be delayed again. We hoped we would be reopen by now but things have not been going as planned. We are also tired and disappointed with the delays, and are sorry we can't see you yet. We will make sure to notify you with more news if we receive any.

Hello Sushi Lovers!

We have finally gotten an update on the plan for our restaurant:

More importantly, we apologize for the lack of updates since our last posting. We were waiting for good news that we could share with you, as we haven’t been told much either. Issues like covid and the flooded highways have slowed down the process and pushed back our reopening day a lot.

We have been told that the contruction in the basement will be completed around the end of February, and our restaurant and kitchen was not affected from the fire. (only from the smoke)

If everything goes accordingly, we will be able to reopen around March.

Our staff will do our best to prepare for the changes to provide a better experience for you than before. Thank you so much for the support and comments! It has encouraged us a lot and we hope to see all of you again.

We are all so excited to come back to you with the sushi you love, and we will make sure to keep you updated!

UPDATE:

We have been notified that the fires have melted all the electrical wires, which means that we will have to close the restaurant for a minimum of a month while it is being fixed. We’re all very disappointed to share this new and hope to open as soon as possible with a stable business again.

Hi Sushi Lovers, we have very sad news to share with you

There was a fire in the store next to ours, so the electricity is completely out. We aren’t sure when it will be fixed and wont be able to open for business today. We hope we can open tomorrow but wenwill have to see how soon it can be fixed.
We are sorry for the inconvenience

Hello Sushi Lovers!

As we have been for a while, we will be open on Monday for takeout only. However, we have some exciting news!

We will be attempting to open for dine-ins starting on Wednesday(29th). We have a lot of new staff who do not have experience with dine-ins,so we ask you for your patience while they learn. We will try our best to accomodate your needs and deliver the best service.

We are happy to be able to start opening for dine-in again and we hope to see you soon!

Announcement:

Sushi Kawa will be reducing our operation times to 5 days a week, closing on Mondays and Tuesdays. Additionally we will be sticking to take-outs only for the near future, until we have a stable number of staff. We hope this addition will end shortly so that we can see again for dine-ins soon!
