As food truck season starts winding down, we’re getting back into one of our favourite things baking for our community 🤎

We won’t be able to offer our pay what you can option right now, as we’ve still been quietly helping families behind the scenes when they’ve needed a little extra support. But we’re excited to start offering more fresh baking through Crumb & Co. Apothecary again.

Today we have fresh buttery sandwich loaves super soft, fluffy, and perfect for sandwiches, toast, grilled cheese, or honestly just warm with butter. They’re made mostly as a classic yeast bread with a little sourdough starter added in for extra flavour.

To celebrate Canada Day, I made a batch of homemade Sourdough Banana Bread Muffins! They’re soft, fluffy, and packed with ripe bananas for that classic banana bread flavour.

These muffins are:
🍌 Made with sourdough starter
🌾 Made with whole wheat flour
🌱 Egg-free
🥛 Dairy-free
💛 high fibre muffins

Unlike many of my usual baking items, these are not sugar-free, they’re a classic, lightly sweetened banana bread muffin made to be enjoyed!

Perfect for breakfast, a snack with coffee, or tucked into a lunchbox. They also freeze beautifully!

We have absolutely loved baking for this community, creating sourdough and sharing joy has truly been a bright light for me and my kids over the past year. It’s been such a meaningful part of our lives. However, we’re at a point where we need to pause. The economy is tough for everyone, and we’ve had more folks receiving than able to pay. To keep things sustainable for our family, we’ll take a couple of months to regroup and focus on other ventures. We hope to return stronger and are so grateful for all your support!

We’re just finishing up prep for our sourdough cookies this week! We had a bunch baked fresh today, and more will be baking tomorrow. 🍪

Only a few left because we’ve had lots of orders come in!
