‘Homemade’ Chinese food …. It’s no Mau Lam by a long shot but it does in a pinch.
And by homemade I mean it’s coop gold ginger beef and sweet n sour chicken brought home and cooked in the air fryer 😂. Serves with jasmine rice, a side of spring rolls with plum sauce and cake in a cup for dessert. I love this meal because it’s quick and tasty

Pro tip: utilize your air fryer, it’s your best friend 👏🏻

‘What’s for field meals tonight?’

Night 6

There was A LOT of leftover roast beef and veggies from my step mom’s funeral so to use some of those up I made a philly cheesesteak casserole. On the side was broccoli salad, and for dessert apple spice cake with brown sugar glaze

Pro tip for this meal- when leftovers are taking over you can turn anything into a casserole! Throw is whatever veg and protein you have, mix in some noodles or leftover potato and either a simple gravy or can of cream soup for a base. Top with cheese and bake.

Nothing hahaha- at least from me. I was between a funeral and a wedding all day today so my mother in law stepped in and did meals tonight 🩷

‘What’s for field meals tonight?’

Night 4

Spaghetti with garlic toast and side Cesar salad. Made with our farm raised beef and my homemade spaghetti sauce. I had just little bits of various desserts leftover from the other nights so tonight’s dessert was a ‘dessert flight’ of peach spice cake, s’mores bark and banana cake with brown sugar glaze.

And your standard farm stand plug- the farm raised beef is available 6 days a week - the banana spice cake (and apple spice cake) are available tomorrow as well!

Pro tip for this meal: same as the Shepard’s pie! I make double or triple the needed meat sauce and then freeze in my family portion size baggies for easy quick in a pinch pasta dishes

‘What’s for field meals tonight?’

Night 3

Homemade cheeseburger with cowboy candy put aside for the guys to put on if they want it. Side of Mac salad and spiced peach coffee cake for dessert.

Pro tip for this meal: I will pre make about 20 pounds of hamburger into patties and freeze them on trays and then once frozen transfer into freezer bags. Easy to pull out however many patties you need for the meal that night.

Annnd by no coincidence the cowboy candy and coffee cakes are available at the farm stand 👀😉
