I realized I never actually shared what we ate during our visit to Hapag Ala Eh! 🇵🇭

We ordered their 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐚 — deep-fried pork knuckle with that irresistibly crispy, crackling skin and juicy, flavorful meat, served with their in-house soy-vinegar dipping sauce. 🤤

And when I say the portion was HUGE… it was HUGE! 😂

It was actually the reason we didn’t order much else. We couldn’t even finish it and still had leftovers to take home.

Was it good? YES. So good. 😋

Is it something I’d eat every day? Definitely not. 😂

Crispy Pata is one of those rich, indulgent dishes that’s best enjoyed once in a while — because too much of a good thing is still too much!

But for a treat and something to share with the family?

So worth trying. ❤️

I don’t usually share my interactions with our guests. Their privacy matters to me, and most of those little moments are mine to keep and remember.

But this one felt like I needed to share. ❤️

A new guest came in looking very serious and quiet.

Gabriel greeted him and kept asking questions—what was his favourite colour, what was his favourite fruit? When the guest didn’t answer, I gently told him we go to the kitchen.

When Gabriel noticed his plate was empty, he went back and asked, “How did you like our food? How would you rate it?”

Then Gabriel said, “You know what? I like your hair!”

The man laughed so hard and said, “No one ever says that to me!

And just like that, a serious face turned into a big smile.
