The American is a sports and games focused pub located on Main street. The room is an open concept communal atmosphere with several long tables perfect for big groups and parties. We have pinball, skeeball, pool, basketball and football with more arcade games to come. The bar carries a variety of craft beer and cocktails. As of September 2019 Downlow Burgers has been operating The American kitchen. If you like burgers this is the one to try. "Smashing a burger reduces how much the meat is touched, plus we season our meat to order, preserving that flavour and texture as much as possible! [We] are proud to use exclusively local, hormone free, GMO free, grass raised beef that has been aged for a minimum of 40 days by our friends Two Rivers Meats. In North Vancouver. [Our] buns come from baker extraordinaire Livia Sweets located on Commercial drive. Everything else is made in house other than the ketchup. . . Heinz does too good a job and if it ain't broke. . . Planning a special event, we do staff parties, wrap parties, holiday functions, birthdays and more, with a number of catering options available.' "

Your favourite freak Colleen Thompson is BACK this Monday for another round of Drawing From Memory! This time she’s bringing her newest and kookiest co-host, Dave Harris, along for the ride. 🫡✏️

We’re switching things up and inviting our pals at Bisou to join the chaos. Word on the street is, if you sign up for their app, there might just be a drink ticket in it for you. 👀🍸

As always, Mondays mean HAPPY HOUR ALL DAY and the event is FREE. Your memory? Questionable. Your drawings? Probably worse. Your Monday night? Sorted.

10 years later, we’re still going strong 💪. Wow, 10 years. Where has the time gone?! From the best late night burgers, to a million Photo Booth strips(there’s a graveyard of photos somewhere hidden in the bar 🤫), to watching the Canucks lose every year (but damn, do we love them anyway) and every late night party…. If the walls could talk, ya know?

We’re celebrating the only friggen way we want to, KARAOKE AT 8PM + $4 b**rs & $4 highballs all night long…. Plus $10 single CHEESIE B’s FOR THE REAL ONES.

He got the job, even if he’s s**t at drawing 🤔 … Bradley Fung joins our most favourite heathen Colleen Thompson for the next instalment of Drawing From Memory. Side by side, these two will take turns (how polite) roasting your drawing (not polite). This is a team sport, yes we’re calling it a spot now.

Hold onto your butts cause Drawing From Memory is back this MONDAY with Colleen Thompson and guest host Cass(idy) Furman …. It’s like if you had two drunk art teachers roasting your creations, but instead of art teachers they’re comedians and instead of creations they’re hardly considered drawings and instead of gold stars, they’re giving out prizes (boozy prizes).
