If you’ve visited us recently, you may have noticed an old favourite made its way back into our shop.. Blood Orange Sorbetto.

Bright, tart and full of citrus, this one is completely dairy free and plant based. It’s refreshing, vibrant, and that blood orange flavour comes through with every lick.

But her visit is almost over. We’re officially on our last bucket, so if Blood Orange is one of your favourites, come get your hands on a scoop before the final one is gone 🍊🍨

As the leaves begin to turn and sunsets arrive a little earlier, autumn invites us to linger a little longer. Evening walks, after-dinner dates, conversations over two scoops, and those little rituals that make the season feel extra special.

Our hours are changing with the season, but there will always be time for gelato 💛

Our Matcha gelato starts with matcha from our friends at Whisk Matcha, who we’ve loved working with over the years.

It gives the gelato that beautiful balance we look for in matcha, with an earthy depth, gentle bitterness, and richness that comes through with every spoonful.

It’s delicious all on its own, but Matcha also happens to be a very good neighbour in the scoop cabinet. Pair it with Fior di Latte for something creamy and delicate that lets the matcha shine, or go for Grandm's Tiramisu for layers of matcha, coffee, mascarpone and cocoa all in one cup.

One flavour, two very different pairings. Which one are you choosing? 🍵

All good things eventually come to an end.. and this one feels especially bittersweet.

Our Saan Saan Hong Kong Milk Tea gelato has officially finished its run at Passione. What started as a special collaboration became a chance to share so much more than a flavour 🫶🏼

We got to tell the story of Sal and Jamie, whose friendship goes all the way back to working together at Bella Gelateria in 2012. We got to celebrate Saan Saan’s 2nd anniversary, share a little piece of Hong Kong through one of its most beloved drinks, and turn their proprietary HK milk tea blend into gelato for the very first time.

And then we got to watch all of you experience it. Some of you grew up with Hong Kong milk tea. Some discovered it through this flavour. Some came back for another scoop before the last batch disappeared. That part made this collaboration especially meaningful.

Thank you to our friends at Saan Saan for trusting us with something so connected to their story and heritage, and thank you to everyone who came along for the ride. We’re sad to see this one go, but so happy for everything we got to share while it was here 💛

And just like that, our little summer story is coming to an end.

Strawberry Sorbetto came and went all summer, appearing in tiny micro batches before being happily carried away one scoop at a time. Made with ripe strawberries, completely plant based and dairy free. Bright, juicy, refreshing, and full of strawberry in every spoonful.

Now the days are getting shorter, summer is slipping away, and there are only a few scoops left before Strawberry Sorbetto takes her final bow for the season 🍓

A little Italian phrase for your weekend: “Che bontà!”

It’s something you might say when something tastes especially delicious, basically, “What a treat!” or “How delicious!” And we think it’s pretty appropriate when there’s gelato involved 🤭

So here’s to a weekend filled with good company, sweet moments, your favourite scoops, and plenty of bontà 🍨 🇮🇹

A little flavour pairing for our fellow nut lovers: Bronte Pistachio + Hazelnut 🫶🏼✨

Our Bronte Pistachio is made with pistachios from Bronte, a small town in Sicily at the foot of Mount Etna, where the volcanic soil helps produce pistachios prized for their intense flavour, aroma, and vibrant colour.

Pair it with our Hazelnut and you get two very different sides of the nutty spectrum. Pistachio is rich and distinctive, while hazelnut brings a deeper, roasted warmth. Together, they make one seriously nutty duo.

You could say we’re a little nuts about this pairing 🌰🍨
