A little teaser of what’s to come this coming Sunday, June 14th for the most delicious day of the year on the Drive!

‘Lo Sbrancato’ Sangiovese — named after a painting in the tasting room at showing a horse running away from the herd and leading its own path for others to follow…
How could we not love this wine, what with the horse imagery bringing to mind the naming of our own Pepino — an homage both to the titular character of Lou Monte’s 1950s song ‘Pepino the Italian Mouse’ and after Pepino’s predecessor Nick’s beloved racehorse ‘Spaghetti Mouse’!
Savoury and concentrated, this rosato looks a bit darker in the glass. It’s rich in fruits — aromas of dried strawberries, cherries and watermelon — with a medium body.
A beautifully bright and fresh expression of Sangiovese to pair with prawns saltimbocca or linguine alla vongole. 🐚
