Today I’m sharing a special piece not just an apron, but a reminder of what it means to cook with courage, flavour, and identity. My journey has always been about pushing boundaries while staying rooted in tradition, and that’s something I deeply connect with in my own kitchen.

Every stain, every stir, every spice tells a story and this apron carries a few of its own.

Honoured to be part of the “Cooks Who Feed” community where food is more than nourishment - its connection, culture, and purpose. Every apron helps provide meals to people facing food insecurity, turning something as simple as cooking into a meaningful act of giving back.

A Valentine’s night we’ll never forget. ❤️

Welcoming Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan to Vij’s felt surreal — four incredible artists whose work has brought so much joy to audiences around the world, gathered around our table in Vancouver.

We were thrilled to gift each of them a copy of my new cookbook, My New Indian Kitchen, co-authored with Jennifer Muttoo. Cooking with love is at the heart of everything we do, and it was such a joy to share that with them.

We’re so grateful to share our food and hospitality with wonderful guests. Moments like these remind us why we love what we do.

And a huge thank you to everyone who came in to dine with us last night — you truly are the heart of Vij’s. ❤️

🍴 Sunday well spent at Vij’s Restaurant! Had an amazing cooking class with Chef Vikram Vij himself.

✨ On the menu:
• Gunpowder Prawns — bold, vibrant, and packed with flavour
• Chicken Korma — rich, comforting, and deeply aromatic
• Rice Pudding — a sweet, creamy finish to a fantastic meal

We even got a tour of the kitchen and patio, plus tons of leftovers to take home! Chef Vij answered all our questions and guided us hands-on truly an unforgettable experience.
