You might recall this delicious food being served by Yuji and Kumiko Aoki from their Mogu food truck, located at Howe and Dunsmuir for seven very successful years. But for longer than that; this hard-working Japanese couple dreamt of serving their recipes, in just the right neighborhood. After an extensive citywide search, Kumiko came across the 34-seat jewel box at 1012 Commercial, formerly the S

kylight and fell in love. While renovating top to bottom, Kumiko and Yuji were delighted by the support and encouragement offered by their new neighbours and deeply impressed with the rich cultural diversity of The Drive, the hood they now call home. Diners can enjoy the Mogu menu by choosing a selection of small plates to share, or by ordering individual meals. But ordering the fried chicken is an absolute must! For drinks, diners can enjoy Japanese beer on tap, Japanese craft beer bottles, a selection of sake, fruit sake, Japanese whisky, and highballs. A COVID-correct safety protocol is in place to ensure the protection of every guest.
