Join us as the Vancouver Alpen Club celebrates its 90th Anniversary with a festive and meaningful fundraiser on Friday, June 27th between 3pm and 9pm! This event is more than just food, drinks, and fun — it’s a heartfelt opportunity to come together as a community, honoring our legacy and looking ahead to the future. The free family-friendly outdoor portion starts at 3pm with face painting, a crafting corner and a Brezel booth. The ticketed evening event begins at 6pm inside the Jim Green Hall Studio at the Cultch Theatre.

🔓🏡 As a special treat, we’ll be unveiling an exclusive first look at our future home — a visual preview of what the new Vancouver Alpen Club building could become.

We’re thrilled to invite local artists and creatives to take part in a special fundraising event that celebrates culture, creativity, and community. The Vancouver Alpen Club is hosting a fundraiser kick-off event on June 27th, and we’re looking for unique, inspiring works of art to feature in a silent auction — and we want you to be part of it!

🇩🇪 Theme: My Germany 🇩🇪

We’re calling on artists to interpret the theme “My Germany” in their own personal and creative way. Whether it’s a painting, sculpture, photography, multimedia, or a completely unique creation — we want to see how your vision of Germany comes to life through art. This is a chance to showcase your heritage, your stories, or simply your artistic interpretation of what Germany means to you 🇩🇪❤️.

➡️Submission Guidelines:

✅Submit a photo of your completed artwork by June 16th, 2025 to [email protected]

✅Artwork must relate to the theme “My Germany”.

✅All art forms are welcome — painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and more.

From all submissions, the top 10 pieces will be selected for live auction at our event on June 27th.

Artist Compensation:

This is a shared fundraising opportunity. For each piece sold at the auction:

30% of the sale will go to the artist

70% will go to support the Vancouver Alpen Club’s cultural programming, events and redevelopment

Dear VAC Community,

Our beloved Vancouver Alpen Club is turning a fabulous 90 this year! We are thrilled to be celebrating such a milestone, but as most of you might know, the building is currently being redeveloped to continue its history as Vancouver’s most popular German cultural hub. We do need a little bit of support to weather these stormy times, so we decided to ask for help via a Zeffy fundraiser. Please help us raise funds to keep us going while we wait for the re-opening of the new and beautiful club space in 2026. Please don't forget: A little bit goes a long way.

As we bid farewell to our beloved building, we're filled with gratitude for the countless memories made here since 1950. Thank you for being part of our journey. We look forward to welcoming you to our new home in 2026. Stay tuned for updates! And thanks for the memories ♥️

Meet our teachers and students during open classrooms (all grades and levels), talk to the Principal, the Administrator and the Board to have all your questions answered, join us for workshops on raising bilingual children (May 7) and how to get ready for studies in Germany (May 8), and don’t miss out on the opportunity to buy German books and delicious baked goods by donation.
