Canh Chua Ca, Ca Kho To / Hot and sour catfish soup with a side of braised fish

Canh chua, also known as Vietnamese sweet & sour soup, comes from the Mekong Delta in southern Vietnam. It comprises tamarind soup, pineapple, tomatoes, elephant ear stalks, bean sprouts, and fish (usually catfish) from the delta. It's commonly served with white rice and Ca Kho To on the side.
