A belated Happy New Year to all you burger lovers out there. Made a new recipe the other day from the excellent cook book ‘The Great American Burger Book’ by George Motz. Highly recommend this book to all burger fans. The burger we cooked is known as the Tortilla Burger. It’s a recipe taken from a diner called the Pantry Restaurant in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

A huge thanks to my wife Harriet Ryder for getting me this book as a surprise gift. Tonight I’m gonna attempt to re-create the green chile cheeseburger that we ate in New Mexico at Bobcat bite now renamed Santa Fe bite. If you’re ever in New Mexico you simply have to pay a visit to this legendary burger bar. This book is incredible by the way, I highly recommend it. 👌❤️🍔

🔔🍔 Calling all burger lovers in the Pacific Northwest! 🍔🔔

Are you driving between Portland & Seattle? If so, you simply MUST go to East Side Big Toms in Olympia WA for a burger, I feel blessed to have visited last month. Family owned and operating for over 50 years, this is one of the last original and iconic burger stands in North America. You can tell its still thriving with the endless lineup of cars to the order booth. My personal recommendation would be the double double with Goop. For those who don't know, goop sauce is a Pacific Northwest thing - its a unique blend of mayo, mustard & pickle relish. This place makes the best goop I've had so far, also the tater tots were next level. 👌
