Growing up in India, I spent a lot of time helping in my father’s family business.

What stayed with me most wasn’t the work itself. It was the way he treated people.

He knew their names, asked about their families and took the time to make everyone feel welcome when they walked through the door.

Today, Maya and I try to bring that same feeling as best we can. The food matters, of course, but the people have always been the heart of it all.

Seven years of building this dream together, and Maya still keeps me humble.

I came to Vancouver in 2018 as a 20-year-old student, started as a busser, and spent seven years working my way up before Bombay Kitchen became ours in 2025. Maya's been beside me since, and somehow we still laugh like it's day one.
