A noteworthy night to go Greek.

Wine & dine with Greeks, by Greeks, from Greece - Thursday, July 20th.

Our head chef Petro Dimopoulous has carefully paired eight exquisite courses alongside eight wines by of Northwestern Greece.�

Kir Yianni prides itself on producing wines that appeal to the taste of the modern consumer reflecting the potential of the Greek vineyard and of its indigenous varieties, such as the noble red Xinomavro.

We will be joined by Master Sommelier, Dr. John Volpe, to share his deep understanding of these wines. He is an ecologist with a special interest in a discipline called EcoGastronomy—ecology and food.

Dr. Volpe leads the Ecogastronomy Research Group which studies linkages among ecology, sustainability, quality, and the importance of place. Within this broad context, he has a focus on grapes and wines where environment, soil, and climate are important determinants of the final product.
