Hello Bonjour and Welcome to Pizza Coming Soon Desert Plant Club Cafe. We’re all out of Butternut Squash Ravioli with Prawns and our Peach Bellini machine is in the shop BUT we have a BEAUTIFUL AND SUCCULENT SPECIAL TONIGHT of LAMB MEATBALLS WITH ARRABBIATA SAUCE AND SHISHO!

And if you’re a BC Baby you can wash it down with some Green Tea Baby, and by Green Tea I mean a whiskey soda highball and by Baby I mean you, a consenting adult who I respect.

Also we’ve got DJing his favourite vinyls tonight (some DJs hate the word vinyls cause the correct plural of vinyl is just vinyl but I like vinyls cause sometimes it’s fun to be bad) and .club is on deckington tomorrow (Saturday) playing music specifically for Krump dancing too (or maybe not).

Writing specials is my kink pushing out ink. I feel like a squid!!!!!

Kensaku and the kitchen team have put together some really tasty feature dishes for you this evening!!!

Grilled Kurobuta pork Sausage, with silky buttery potato purée and spicy Arrabbiata sauce

And fried calamari. Delicious marinated squid with aonori and ponzu mayo.

The guys in the back say the sausage pairs perfectly with an ice cold Beere Brewing Pilsner!!!!!

We got blue margarita Jell-O shots, we got clarified raspberry rum punch shooters... we’ve got thriving plants and Raffi definitely won’t be wearing pants!!!!

I love you romantically, let’s make it official tonight at pizza coming soon... book your table now.... tucks wedding ring In pocket.... stains on my shirt... seasonal allergies ... old. HELLO MY DOGZ.

It’s ’s last day at pizza 😭😭😭

We’ve been so lucky to have her behind the bar off and on for a few years now. She’s added creative and loving details to our cocktail program and has elevated our restaurant in lasting and meaningful ways. She’s an absolute monster behind the wood, crushing packed weekend service after service without breaking a sweat or god forbid a fully manicured nail... alright she’s broken a couple.

We will really miss you around here... but we are so excited for you to continue your journey at Chupito where your passion for agave and aforementioned beast mode work ethic will truely shine.

And also we can just be friends again which I will honestly prefer.

Keith is in Japan doing Japan things but Kensaku came through with the squid pro quo special - aka GRILLED SQUID IN ROMESCO SAWCE WITH CHARRED GREEN ONION.

I have an inkling that it’s gonna be delicious.

I don’t wanna grow up, cause baby if I did - I couldn’t be a Toys R Us squid.

Hello my dogZ - Back by popular demand... BIG MAC BAO.

Everyone’s always like... awwww no big Mac bao??? no bloomin onion???

We brought back the big Mac bao... so fricken cool it ok... cool it buster. If you wanna dummy a whole deep fried onion, do it at home... with the lights off!!! No one wants to see that in public.

The bao is Juicy beef and gooey Cheese in a pillowy steamed bao bun with black sesame... on a bed of Mac sauce and shredded lettuce.

Shout out to .billyboi for creating this dish, and shout out to for helping us put it together every week.

Kam Wai is the people’s champ for affordable lunch... and they make incredible truffle and mushroom dumplings... among other things!!!

Take it from the champ graffiti is for chumps. Make your mark in society not on society.

Last night, I was at my neighbourhood 711 and there were children filling up large containers and bowls of various sizes and shapes with mountains of slurpee. A father of 2 prediabetic children informed me it was $2.50 to fill up any sized container. Is this is a recession indicator? I was like... this is fu**ed... but then I thought about how amazing this would be for me... in my childhood... in the 90s... in Forest Grove.

It is fu**ed... but it’s also a bit of fun. And we need that right now!!!

Kanuni is back!!!!!!

Thick cut pork belly braised in a sweet and savoury sauce of mirin, dashi, soy, sake, and sugar. Accompanied by stewed daikon and spicy Japanese mustard.

A crowd favourite!!!!

Christabelle is Djing tonight, so stick around and don’t forget to bring your orange home depot buckets for bottomless braising liquid!!!
