The Bank of Canada has held its key interest rate at 2.25%, saying the economy is expected to rebound and inflation could ease toward target next year.

But many Canadians are still dealing with high grocery bills, housing costs, gas prices, and debt pressure.

Economists may see stability. Families may still feel squeezed.

So is this the beginning of real economic relief, or just another pause before more uncertainty?

Justin Trudeau dances, and Kevin O’Leary immediately turns it into an economic attack.

O’Leary says Trudeau took Canada’s economy in the wrong direction and mocked the dance video as if it symbolized his record in office.

Fair criticism?

Or has Trudeau become a permanent target for political outrage, no matter what he does?

Why Aren’t Conservatives Gaining? The latest Nanos tracking shows Canadians remain deeply concerned about jobs, the economy, and cost of living.

Normally, that should create pressure on the governing party. But the Liberals are still leading at 43%, while the Conservatives remain at 31%.

Carney is also the preferred prime minister by a wide margin.

So what is happening? Are Canadians trusting Carney to manage the economy, or are Conservatives failing to turn public frustration into political support?

Former Manitoba MP and Dauphin mayor Inky Mark has been arrested following a months-long RCMP firearm trafficking investigation.

Police say officers seized 439 guns, ammunition, an antique cannon, and more than $300,000 during searches connected to the case.

Mark, 78, is facing several charges, including firearm trafficking, possession of a firearm with a tampered serial number, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

RCMP say the investigation is ongoing and it could take weeks to document the evidence. The charges have not been proven in court.

This case raises serious questions about fi****ms oversight, public trust, and accountability, especially when a former elected official is involved.

Ottawa insiders are increasingly speculating that Prime Minister Mark Carney could shuffle his cabinet before the House returns in September.

After nearly 18 months in office and a majority government behind him, Carney may now be ready to build the team he wants for the next phase.

The question is simple: Which ministers have delivered? Which files need stronger leadership?

And is Carney preparing for a much tougher political season than the polls currently suggest?

A strong economy, U.S. trade pressure, Alberta separation politics, and Quebec sovereignty risks are all on the horizon.

Is this the moment Carney resets his government?

Your Thoughts? The long-delayed Gordie Howe International Bridge is finally set to open at the end of July.

But the deal has changed. Canada covered the full construction cost, now estimated at $6.4 billion, with the understanding that Canada would collect toll profits until the investment was recovered.

Now reports say Canada will receive only 50% of toll profits for the first 15 years, while the other half goes into a new economic development fund.

That raises a serious question:

Did Canada make a smart compromise to get the bridge open? Or did Ottawa give up Canadian revenue after U.S. political pressure?

Prime Minister Mark Carney says publicly “lecturing countries from afar” is ineffective as Canada rebuilds ties with Saudi Arabia and seeks new global partnerships.

Carney says “engagement is not endorsement.”

Supporters will call this practical diplomacy in a changing world. Critics will ask whether Canada is lowering its voice on human rights to secure trade, defence, and strategic relationships.

So where should Canada draw the line?

Is quiet engagement smart diplomacy, or a dangerous compromise?

Your Thoughts? A petition sponsored by Green Party Leader Elizabeth May is calling on the federal government to stop funding Stornoway, the official Ottawa residence for Canada’s Leader of the Official Opposition.

The petition has reportedly received more than 15,000 signatures and argues that Canada is the only western democracy to fund a residence for the Opposition leader.

Stornoway is a 9,500 sq. ft. home in Ottawa’s Rockcliffe Park neighbourhood, with 19 main rooms and ongoing maintenance costs.

Supporters of the petition say this is a simple cost-saving measure at a time when Canadians are being asked to accept government restraint.

Critics may argue the residence is part of Canada’s parliamentary tradition and supports the official role of the Opposition.

But the question is fair:

If Ottawa is looking for savings, should taxpayer-funded political residences be on the table?

Your Thoughts? Prime Minister Mark Carney has backed the latest U.S. strikes on Iran, calling them an appropriate response to ceasefire violations and attacks linked to the Strait of Hormuz.

The comments came as NATO leaders gathered in Ankara, where President Donald Trump again criticized allies for not joining the U.S. and Israel more directly in the conflict.

Carney says Canada wants de-escalation. But his support for the U.S. strikes raises a bigger question:

Is Canada helping stabilize a dangerous situation, or being pulled deeper into Washington’s Middle East strategy?

At a time of global instability, Canadians deserve clarity.

Where does Canada stand? Your thoughts?
